Falling through the floor leads to blog creation
this weekend i was at a party, and it was really fun. but that isn't what's important here. at the party, as i stepped into a living room with a wooden floor, my foot broke through the floor and my leg fell down to about my knee. i was really confused at first, and then figured out what happened and started laughing--i mean that is probably one of the most ridiculous things that has happened to me, easily top 25. and it was definitely likely to happen to someone that night, lucky me! the people i was hanging out with hadn't yet realized that my leg was dangling underneath the house and just thought i was stupid for falling down and then staying on the floor for so long. however, they laughed at me really hard once i told them my leg was stuck. i finally got it out and i didn't even spill my beer. but i didn't care. after something like that, i needed to start a circle of whiskey chugging, which masked my pain long enough to dance all night, which has made my injury worse. oh well. a picture was taken. if i get a hold of it, then i'll post it. this happening to me made me decide i need to start keeping record of such events.
also, on a completely unrelated note. when i was driving back to tulsa, i heard on the radio that David Hasselhoff said he helped tear down the Berlin Wall. my first thought upon hearing this was, "i didn't know he did anything political related." my second thought was, "maybe he literally, physically helped tear down the wall." both thoughts were wrong. he thinks a song he sang at a concert in Berlin about freedom helped change the emotions of the people and caused them to want to tear it down. come on. maybe a song written by John Lennon could inspire the masses, but i don't think even Hasselhoff's unexplained popularity in Germany should make him so arrogant that he thinks he was key in bringing down that wall.
