20th Annual Harvest Moon CHAMPIONS!

Harvest Moon is a ridiculously fun ultimate tournament hosted by Fayetteville around Halloween every year. This year marked 20 years of players coming to our sleepy town and shaking things up. It brought in about 60 teams who all played in costume. This year, my team won the tournament. Our theme was Lady Gaga, which was fun in itself. We got great weather for it being November, and I can't even do the party justice in trying to describe it. I don't think any will top it until possibly next year's Harvest. Another highlight - dog costumes!!! If you wait until after Halloween, costumes at Target are 75% off for the pups.

Malcolm was quite happy to give this lovely princess a ride all day. And Banjo and Malcolm were delighted to be a hot dog and bee the previous night.

when logic sounds good in theory, but then isn't

Say you attempt to open a bottle of wine and fail miserably. You break the cork up into all sorts of pieces and eventually have to shove what's left of it inside the bottle. Then you think, "well I can't re-cork this, so I should drink it all." That sounds reasonable enough. But no, you'd be wrong, and also you'd feel like you tried to drink an entire bottle of wine the next day.

(I swear I'm not a wino, despite this post and the gnat wine post.)

This is really awesome and really depressing

Getting into the Boston Marathon is really awesome, the third column in this entries list is not so much...

Though I'm not 30 yet, this was the first time I saw it glaring at me in the face. I remember the time when I had to start checking the 25-29 box for my age; that was a sad moment too, but nothing like this.
